Experience the Heartwarming
Journey of a Lifetime! Polly's GlobalWalk .
. you can accomplish anything
if
you take it
one step at a time.
Synopsis
Polly was 12 years old when she read a story of fellow Minnesotan
Dave Kunst,
the first man to walk around the world.
She was always
taken by
what you could accomplish
by putting one foot in front of the other.
25 years later, with friends and relatives being diagnosed
with breast cancer,
she had that ‘light bulb moment’:
"That's what I'll do that walk for that I've always wanted to do. "
On August 1, 1999 Polly left Vail Colorado, by foot,
to become the first woman
to walk around the world.
Our storyline parallels Polly’s personal journey
and two women’s individual battles with breast cancer.
Vicki Tosher,
a two-time survivor and President of the Colorado Breast Cancer Coalition,
met Polly at the beginning and went on
to walk with her in California,
New Zealand, Australia, and Turkey.
Debi Linker had recently completed
chemo and radiation treatment
and ended up walking over 700 miles with Polly.
On September 11, while in Muslim Malaysia, she suddenly found herself
discovering the world from a unique historical perspective.
Determined as ever,
she quickly adjusted her strut thru an
Islamic Asia, India, and a simmering Europe.
It became a journey personifying the spirit of
commitment and perseverance.

It was a fascinating and intriguing story and I got swept up in it all. Everyone loves a good human interest story and this one takes the cake. Melanie-

A truly marvelous work; a very moving, humanistic document characterizing a very courageous woman! In places, tears were rolling and running down my cheeks.

A team has created a terrific Doc about a Minneapolis-born woman who walks around the globe to raise global awareness of Breast Cancer. Terrific, fresh, global perspective on the disease and the role of society in confronting it. Bill, Executive VP- PBS/ TPT- St Paul, MN
Well, I don't know where to start except Marg and I were quite overwhelmed by it all. Apart from the bonding, story, production quality, I fell off the chair laughing when the sub-titles appeared over the Scottish lingo. Alan & Margaret-

Brilliant!!

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your movie, and our very crabby (and very discerning) 14-year-old said "I thought it was really good".
I especially loved the
precious interviews with your dad, capturing his essence; his
humor, and his impression of his daughter's achievements, just great!
Jaci- Minneapolis
Just watched the movie. Makes me want to leave my cubicle and go out
and accomplish something.

My wife bought a copy online and we watched it with your #1 fan, 9-year-old Jessy. She plans to bring it to her 4th grade class for (part) viewing!
